Amee Catalano is a 25-year-old social worker currently based on the United States west coast. Her social work is rooted in intersectional feminist perspectives on mental health, sexual violence, and social justice. Additionally, her social work includes use of the expressive arts–art, poetry writing, music, books, play–as interventions for any and all ages. Active in the arts since a child, Amee’s favorite creative mediums include (but most definitely not limited to) painting, poetry writing, art journaling, mandala-creating. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Critical Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Humboldt State University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at Smith College School for Social Work.
When she’s not busy social working, she enjoys going to the beach to collect agates while her beautiful one-eyed dog Ida May prances beside her.
